WHO WE ARE: Hello, we are Mike and Annette, your host and hostess. As a retired nurse and my husband as an executive, we understand the needs of those traveling for their jobs. We have designed The Mini Bohemian En Suite with you in mind and based on our travel experiences.
WHERE ARE WE: Our cottage is nestled just outside of Greer in a country-feel but within 3 minutes, you can be in the city of Greer, 15 minutes to Greenville or 30 minutes to Spartanburg. Greenville International Airport is just 10 minutes away.
WHO DID WE DESIGN THIS FOR: If you are a traveling nurse with a 13-week contract at Bon Secours, Prisma, Spartanburg Regional or the new up and coming Novant Health or a world-jetting executive for Michelin or BMW and you are fed up with the coldness and institutional feel of the typical per diem hotel, then our cottage is just the ticket!
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT OVERALL: First and foremost...privacy, acoustic construction for peace and quiet. You will be welcomed into your cottage with a complementary charcuterie and bottle of wine as a house warming gift from your host and hostess. This home-away-from-home cottage is a completely private retreat, separate from the main house and all yours for the length of your stay. Guests can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere with heating and AC to suit any season. We have selected an array of reading materials if you are like us and like a real book in your hand to calm down for the evening and increase brain cells. Want to binge on your favorite show, you have a Fire TV Stick and probably the most comfortable leather media reclining sofa you will ever sit in. You will have a Wi-Fi password provided for your surfing enjoyment at check-in. Privacy is key and we both remember what it has been like with too much light so we have taken extra pleasure in dressing your door and windows with a variety of bamboo roman shades, sheers and light filtering drapes. You choose your level of privacy because we just want you to relax, feel at home and rest. Your hosts will pick you up at Greenville Spartanburg International upon arrival and will drive you back upon departure in a luxury vehicle. For a small fee, you can have a daily turn down and touch up service to come home to a clean and tidy cottage just waiting for your arrival. Have your interest? Then step inside each area below.
YOUR BEDROOM: Here, you will find one cozy bedroom with a king bed and Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress with medium firmness. Your bed is dressed in a protective mattress pad made of bamboo. Your 400-thread count hotel-quality sheets are breathable, cooling and soft to the touch. Layers of fleece blanketing with luxurious softness and coziness will nestle you in for a peaceful sleep; both light and heavy for your sleeping preferences. Your 500-thread-count pillows are from the hotel premier collection, offering breathablity and soft yet supportive comfort for all sleep types. They are hypoallergenic and eco-friendly filled with a down alternative fiberfill. For your additional protection, they are encased in a temperature balancing, breathable pillow protector recommended by allergists. You have a lovely 6-drawer dresser, 4 under bed drawers and a private cedar-lined closet, so plenty of room for a longer stay. If you like to read or work on your phone or laptop in bed, you have appropriate lighting if you don't want the overhead lights on and a charging station for all of your devices in the headboard.
YOUR BATHROOM: The bathroom features a refreshing shower, hair dryer, fluffy bathroom linens and spa-quality bathrobes for your enjoyment while you are with us. Your cottage is served by its own on-demand water heater for instant hot water needs.
YOUR KITCHEN: You will have use of a full size refrigerator/freezer, convection microwave oven offering toasting/air frying/microwave and baking features. A small 2-burner cooktop is available for your use and Nespresso coffee maker with a variety of coffees to get your day started. You have a Brita water filter on the faucet if you are clean water conscious. A table for two bistro is set up for your dining experiences.
THE GROUNDS: No polar plunging here, want to swim while it is snowing out, we have a heated pool for your enjoyment or exercise and is 6' at its deepest. Sore from a long shift? Grab your pool and spa towels provided and step into a 101 degree hot tub. Pool and hot tub are tested, cleaned and chemically treated weekly. Have a bit too much wine the night before and need a detox? Step into our 2-person infrared sauna. Tired of eating out and want to grill a steak? Enjoy our Fire Magic push button start gas grill with copper cooking mats. Need to unwind with a glass of wine, just let your hosts know ahead and we will have your own private Solo Stove firepit ready for your when you come home.
MISC. INFORMATION: The main gate to the back property as well as your cottage are key coded, a number that will be provided to you on check-in. For added security, the property is protected with 24/7 video surveillance. If you drive in rather than fly, there is plenty of room for your vehicle but no worries, Greer has an abundance of Uber and Lyft availability for your convenience as you explore or go to work or meetings. If you provide a list, your hosts can pickup your favorite groceries which is an add-on service that you can Venmo us upon check-in. There is walking path on the property if you want to walk the grounds during the growing season or we live in a safe neighborhood to take walks in or jog. We are within 20 minutes of the Swamp Rabbit Trail for longer walks/jogs. Concert venues and theaters are within 15 minutes. You can enjoy the best restaurants to suit even the pickiest of eaters in Greer, Greenville and Spartanburg. Notably, Scoundrel earning the city's first Michelin Star in the inaugural American South Guide (2025), while Soby's New South Cuisine received the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award.
SPECIAL NOTE: Your hosts live in the main house and do enjoy the pool, hot tub, sauna and bar and have their own private firepit and outdoor seating at the main house. We know what it feels like to be mauled by hosts and solemnly promise to respect your privacy. Your hosts can be contacted for any questions or needs by text between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
