Summary: When we checked inn we were given key passes to a room. When we went to the room another guest was already there. We apologized and he accompanied us to the front desk to see if he was given the wrong room. The clerk checked and said housekeeping made an error and gave us a new passkey for a different room in another wing. The other guest apologized for the mix up, but we thanked him for understanding. When we got into the newly-assigned room,started to unpack, then left to conduct our visit to the hospital where a relative was admitted. That evening we came back to our room to unpack and get ready for bed. I stepped on the carpeted floor next to my bed and got WET FEET! I later found out the toilet was constantly leaking which caused water to collect on the shower area flooring and leaked into the area where I got wet feet. I used a towel to mop up the water in the bathroom area. Later that night I went to use the bathroom, and the floor had standing water again. Mopped it up with a towel, went back to bed and heard water running in the toilet. Went back in and THE FLOOR HAD STANDING WATER. mopped it up again and went back to bed. In total I did this exercise three times until I took the tank lid off to find the water fill valve was shooting a stream of water, which hit the tank cover and ran down the back of the toilet stool. I then put a washcloth over the stream and kept the water from spraying out as a temporary fix. I informed the clerk of the problem when we left.
