All of our homes are professionally cleaned after each stay, and disinfected using a quaternary disinfectant throughout the entire property prior to each new arrival.
The Space
One of our most charming vacation homes in Savannah is the Waldburg Cottage property. This historic Victorian cottage is located in Savannah's Historic District off of Waldburg and Jefferson. Just three blocks from beautiful Forsyth Park, it is walkable to both the historic downtown and the Starland District.
The cottage dates back to 1900 and has all the old world charm that comes with its age, along with thoughtful updates. The outdoor space is a standout feature. When you enter through the white picket fence, you'll find a traditional front porch with rocking chairs. The backyard has a beautiful porch for relaxing, a lush garden, and a grill for warm weather barbeques. There are also two dedicated parking spaces in the rear.
Inside, the cottage accommodates up to four people with two bedrooms and one newly-renovated bathroom. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a new queen mattress in the master bedroom, and a twin bunk bed in the second bedroom. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV. Each room has high ceilings with fans in both bedrooms and original hardwood pine floors throughout the cottage. It's a lovely space for a solo traveler, a couple, or a family with kids.

While the cottage is very quiet, white noise machines are placed in both bedrooms to reduce any sounds guests may not be accustomed to.

Location
There are endless opportunities for sightseeing and other activities from the location of the cottage. Visit the historic downtown, the charming waterfront, the trendy Starland neighborhood and shops, or take a trip to Tybee Island.
The cottage is just three blocks from famous Forsyth Park, which spans 26 acres and is always lively – From the famous cast-iron fountain, the Saturday Farmers Market, to festivals, to walking the picturesque tree-lined sidewalks, having a picnic, and enjoying brunch at Collins Quarter, we feel the cottage is situated in the ideal area for exploration and adventure.
We are a 15 to 20 minute walk from the historic downtown area boasting City Market, Broughton Street, River Street, and all 22 of Savannah's charming historic squares. Chatham Square is the closest, and is a 5 minute walk from the cottage.
South of the cottage is the trendy Starland District, with artist shops and restaurants, a 10-15 minute walk.
For groceries, Kroger is 0.5 miles away. There is also an independent natural food store called 'Brighter Day' at the south end of Forsyth Park, along with a coffee shop, wine shop, and a beautiful rooftop bar called 'Perch'. The cottage is 25 minutes to the Savannah Airport If you have a car, you can spend a day exploring Tybee Island, a 20 minute car-ride away. You can enjoy the Southern Belle heated pool, eat at the locally famous Tybee Island Crab Shack, take a marsh trek, or book a charter boat to explore the waters around the island. .
Getting Around
We highly recommend walking around town to fully appreciate the charming city.
We are just steps from the nearest free DOT Trolley stop (www.connectonthedot.com), which runs every 10-15 minutes from the southwest corner of the park and runs through the Starland District, historic downtown, and River Street. Other modes of transportation are rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft or pedicabs.
You can also take a guided tour of the city in several different ways. Among the most popular are horse-drawn carriages, trolleys, pub crawls, and ghost tours.
Unless you want to leave the historic downtown area, you probably won't need a car since you can walk to most places from the cottage.
Guest Access
Check-in with code access provided prior to arrival.
There is typically ample street parking, (make sure to read the signs for street sweeping times), and two private parking spots located behind the cottage, accessed from the lane.
Other Things To Note
Please understand that we typically have to stick to a strict checkin and checkout time so we can thoroughly prepare the cottage for our next guests.
Unfortunately, we do not allow any pets on the cottage property.
Please no other guests outside of guests booked.
As noted in the description, this house was originally built in 1900, when homes were built smaller, and has all the old world charm and character from that era. Please note that the pocket doors in the kitchen do not fully close, however it is a historic detail we like to keep.
Guests with Pets
If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.
Long-Term Stay:
For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.
Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties, it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island. The Pool is open during the below dates and times.
March 1- Oct 31, Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm
November 1 - February 28, Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.
