This property is located in the country overlooking Lake Carmi, in Franklin VT. It faces the mountain ranges of Jay Peak and Cold Hollow. The sun rises over the lake and sets behind the property giving the most amazing glow over the mountains.
Lake Carmi is home to a State Park with a public beach, which is directly across the lake from this property. There is also a public boat access just a short drive up the road.
Grocery stores and pharmacies are a 15 minute drive. A general store just 3 miles away has homemade food from donuts and pies to sandwiches and pizza. Restaurants that are close by are all family owned and delicious.
Guests can access the house through the side door, off the driveway. A keycode will be provided.
I prefer to give guests complete privacy but am available as needed. Check-in and check-out are self-service. You may arrive any time after 3 pm. Early arrivals may be accommodated upon request.
The driveway is shared by the neighbor. Parking for this property is in front of the barn and along the left side of the driveway, allowing space for neighboring cars to get by.
We ask that you do not drink the water, as it is from a natural spring. There will be some bottled water provided but do recommend bringing drinking water.
The kitchen is stocked with all essential baking, cooking and serving ware. There is a Keurig with coffee, creamer and sugar provided. Cooking basics like olive oil, small selection of spices and salt and pepper are provided.
